Fantasy Congress

As Congress debates during this session, many issues will be on the table - Iraq, Health care, environmental policy, and much more.   You may ask how *you* can stay informed and have fun at the same time, and here’s your answer.  Form an all-star team of your favorite Senators and Members of Congress on fantasycongress.com - think Fantasy Baseball, but with politics!  You get to pick four senators and six representatives.  Compete against political nerds like me.  If you like, you can join the new “BYU Democrats” league - which has all new features!  Here’s an explanation of some of the scoring potential from the website itself:

Beyond just legislation and cosponsored legislation (remember, a
public law = touchdown), we now have the following scoring
categories:
= News - From our friends at Daylife <http://www.daylife.com>, you
now have a newsmaker category led by Hillary Clinton (D-NY), Barack
Obama (D-IL), and in third… Ron Paul (R-TX)?
= Attendance - That’s right. We’re counting absences (like in school)
and they do count against your Member of Congress.
= Maverick Score - It takes guts to stand against your party,
especially during tight votes, so begin drafting Heath Shuler (D-NC),
Olympia Snowe (R-ME), or others who cross the aisle.
