Jena 6: Why Race is still a problem in America
The recent events of the Jena 6 (six black students charged with beating a white student after mounting race issues in their high school) highlight the continued issues of race that plague the U.S. The Jena 6 represent the major race issue of this century.
It is sad that decades after the civil rights movement, we still have major race problems and we still have extreme vocal groups such as the KKK and white supremacist groups (who have said they will lynch any of the Jena 6 that are not convicted).
