Thursday Debate, Immigration Education Class, “The Office”
Compatriots,
OK, details have been confirmed on the first College Democrats/Republicans event of the semester, so here you go:
COLLEGE DEMOCRATS/REPUBLICANS PANEL DISCUSSION: IRAQ POLICY AND PULLOUT
Thursday, October 4 (that’s tomorrow!)
7-8:30pm, 3106 JKB
This will be a great discussion on Iraq and U.S. policy, with lots of opportunities for students to be informed and ask questions of our knowledgable panelists. This event will take the place of our regular meeting, so please plan on coming!
IMMIGRATION CITIZENSHIP TEST PREPARATION CLASS: First, let me apologize profusely for anyone who tried to go to the address sent out in previous emails yesterday and found no one there; the location was changed and we just found out ourselves on our way to the class yesterday. But, you have another chance! We’re going tonight, 6-8pm, and the class
will be held at Dixon Middle School, 800 West 200 North, Provo. Walk in the door on the west side of the building labeled “Community Center” and you should find us. It’s great fun and we’d love to see you.
“THE OFFICE”: So our attendance at last week’s meeting was markedly reduced, and we’re wondering if it might have something to do with Michael Scott running down an officemate in his car. If you know what I’m talking about, then you’re an Office fan, and you can tell us whether the Office is keeping you from Democrats meetings. If this is true for enough
people, we may have to bow down to the power of the almighty tube and change our meeting time or day. So, if you didn’t come last week because you were watching the office or think the Office will keep you from meetings in the future, send an email to president@byudemocrats.org and let us know.
That is all.
Darren
