Harry Reid - Honorary Degree

MESJ (Mormons for Equality and Social Justice) just sent out the following email:

I read recently about Senator Reid’s visit to BYU this week and I wanted to reach out to you with a question.  As some of you know, I was the author and organizer of the anti-Cheney petition which ultimately garnered close to 4,000 signatures.  The petition was sent in hard copy to the first presidency and others.  They did not reply.  I am also one of the media directors for MESJ (Mormons for Equality and Social Justice).

MESJ is interested in possibly launching a campaign (albeit with very short notice) to encourage the BYU administration to award Senator Reid an Honorary Doctorate.  This could be done with calls, a petition, op-ed, or other means.
