URGENT! Burma Rally Approved

Dear people who care to rally for Burma,

First of all, thank you for caring to rally for Burma. Second of all, the good news: we have finally been approved by the administration to rally for Burma! Third of all, I apologise if you receive this multiple times.

Here’s the info:
Wednesday, October 17
11AM-1PM
JFSB Quad

We need people to do the following:
Tell everyone about the rally
Go to classes and announce the rally (we need to start tomorrow, Monday, to hit the MWF classes)
Type email addresses from the petition (so we can email everyone about the rally by Tuesday)
Wear Red on Wednesday
Make/hold signs
Help set up/take down
Teach those who walk by about the situation and what they can do and encourage people to sign the petition and sign up to pray or fast
Document the rally (video and photo)

Come by the Burma booth some time tomorrow (Monday) and pick up however many petitions you can so you can write down the email addresses to allow us to email everyone and inform them of the rally so we get a big showing. The forms will be in a bag on the table. Grab as many as you’ll be able to type up. Once typed up, please email them to me so that I can put them on the US Campaign for Burma email list.

We will be having a planning meeting tomorrow night at 8:30 at 340 E 200 N at Dave Lassetter’s house. Please come if you would like to help plan and get people to the rally.

Thanks for everyone’s help. Sorry that it has been so difficult getting the rally approved, but we’ll be working with the
administration on streamlining the process so that it’s more efficient in the future.
