Blackwater is slipping through the cracks right before our eyes. The state department has promised Blackwater bodyguards immunity from prosecution in an investigation of the shooting of 17 Iraqi civilians. Senator Leahy has said that “In this administration, accountability goes by the boards. If you get caught, they will get you immunity. If you get convicted, they will commute your sentence.”
