There were a lot of claims being made in the first debate. Factcheck.org, a nonpartisan, nonprofit group is a great site for those that want the truth when McCain and Obama start throwing facts around. This is not about endorsing or opposing either viewpoint, just expanding the discussion. Interesting to see how positions on social issues don’t always follow party lines. Whatever our political affiliation, we should always be ready to consider alternative viewpoints, because when we close our eyes, ears, and mind, democracy dies.

A new study out of Yale University confirms what argumentative liberals have long-known: Offering reality-based rebuttals to conservative lies only makes conservatives cling to those lies even harder.
